AutoPager Technical Features
Automated Paging
Messages can be sent to all types of pager. Messages can be pre-defined and selected from a message bank, or can be one-off messages defined by a user or a copy of a message on a message queue.
Security
A single panel security matrix enables every feature of AutoPager to be secured for individual users or all users, as required.
Pager Groups
AutoPager enables pager requests to be sent to more than one pager simultaneously. This is achieved through pager groups which links individual pagers into user defined groups.
Rotas
Pager rotas can be created to conform with shift patterns or on-call rotas. Rotas can be created for any dates and times to ensure that the correct person is always paged automatically.
Message Queue Monitoring
AutoPager can monitor any message queue for user-defined critical messages. A paging request can be issued every time a message of a predefined severity is received or dependent on a message ID and/or character string within the message.
Message Escalation
Message escalation overcomes the limitations of one-way paging: if a message is left unanswered, AutoPager will automatically route the paging message to alternative pagers from the user-defined fallback list, until the message is answered.
Pager Logging and History
AutoPager maintains a history of every message it sends, sorted by individual pagers, and an audit trail of all pager activity.
