As well as being able to convert data streams from one format to
another, it provides the ability to break down data streams into
logical documents and index them. Based on this information business
rules can be applied to them and they can be converted into appropriate
channel-friendly formats for delivery, via Columbus Central and
Columbus OM.
Columbus CAT
The solution in action
- Turns raw or print format data into human sensible, logically
discrete multi-page documents for processing or viewing.
- Easy integration with existing systems through support of a
variety of common input data types, including complex printer
formats, i.e: AFP, Metacode/DJDE, ASCII/EBCDIC, Metacode, PCL5.
- Proven Columbus data parsing technology extracts document indexes
for use in print batching or routing, archiving or document encapsulated
workflow processing and delivery.
- Maximises value of existing output by converting all native
input data formats to generic formats, i.e. HTML, PCL, PDF, XML
for cross channel delivery.
- Outputs index and page data in XML for processing by Columbus
applications or third party applications.
- Operates in single document or batch document mode for fast
and efficient job throughput either as a high volume job or an
individual real time request.
- Can be used as a standalone executable or as an 'in process'
dll or shared object, for flexible solution integration.
