In addition our Chairman was unable to continue organising meetings after November 2002 (which in the event failed to take place anyway), and the Membership Secretary and Mailing Secretary were unable to continue after February 2003. Despite several requests no volunteer could be found to take over as Chairman.

After discussions with GSE (our parent organisation) and IBM, it was agreed that we would merge with the GSE (UK) Large Systems Working Group. This will therefore be the last mailing from VMUG. I would like to thank you for your support over the years, and wish you well with the new User Group.
